Rachel+Dan..
I’ll never forget where I was when I received their inquiry. Franklin Park Conservatory had been one of my bucket list venues to shoot at since I started photography. I’ve known-ish Rachel for some time. We worked at the same coffee shop in college but at slightly different times. I was obviously excited about the venue but more excited about these two-kind, considerate, and so in love. I was beyond the feels when we scheduled our chat!
Fast forward to their wedding day-Dan got ready at home, with their puppies and his best guys; Rachel got ready at a hotel close by with her favorite ladies. I love wedding days where literally every single person present is tearfully excited for all the steps. From Dan giving his fellas the gifts, to Rachel getting her dress on and her girls swooning. It was lovely.
During their first look these two wrote letters to each other that they read privately. I stayed in the back and snapped away while they had a beautiful, intimate moment of seeing each other on their wedding day!!! They both were whelmed with emotions and this was one of many moments from this perfect day that I teared up.
During their ceremony they chose to mix pieces of glass that represent both of them to have a vase forever marking this special day! Both had tears and smiles for days, even after their first look the anticipation was palpable. They chose to have a moment after their ceremony to just sit in each others’ presence and soak up all the love. A beautiful perfect day with the most intentional souls.
